Dear Editor:
Based on the many cruel and victim-shaming responses in the comment section of the articles posted on your Facebook page against Ms. Pauley regarding her serious allegations, I have a hard time fathoming why she didn’t bring this up three years ago.
For the daft among you, I am being sarcastic. I also now understand why it took the courage of a Concerned Neighbor and reporter, who is not being paid by anyone, Rick Smith, to bring this to light. I can confirm that neither Ms. Pauley nor Mr. Brainard has ever harassed or propositioned me, but I can also confirm the irrelevance of that.
I can confirm Ms. Pauley has never lied to me. However, the Mayor has lied to you and me before, including telling you there was a police investigation about Ms. Pauley finding the note from your former reporter-cum-Council candidate to the Mayor. Who are you going to believe: The lady who isn’t running for office or the man and his fan-boys/girls desperately clinging to power?
