Can you imagine the conversation that went on before they paved around the utility poles?
- How many communication breakdowns occurred in the year long project? Between the city and contractors, utilities, citizens…
- Why did this occur? Because the city was confused as to who the poles belonged to.
- You can’t make this stuff up. It makes NBC’s Parks and Recreation look plausible, even comparatively competent.
What are details when there is progress to be made!
The first runner-up in Carlson’s Law was the mailing of the Home Place Welcome Letter which was delayed several days for an embarrassing reason.
Even with a full year to prepare for the Home Place annexation the mailing of official notifications was delayed due to an oversight in obtaining necessary postage. This resulted in a delay in mailing notifications and created a need for last minute emergency funding.
